Tish’a B’Av Service
July 22, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Tish’a B’Av – the 9th day of the Hebrew month of Av, brings to a close the traditional 3-week period of mourning that began with the fast of the 17th of Tammuz. What are the Jewish people mourning? The destruction of both the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem. Over the centuries other catastrophes that befell the Jewish people have came to be associated with this day of mourning. This short service commemorates those events, give us time to pause and reflect on the tragedies our people have endured and reminds us as well that we are a mighty people with a strong instinct to not only survive but to thrive. This service will be lay lead. Your attendance will be appreciated. For more information on Tish’a B’Av, go to:
